Well day two… or, really, officially day one of Thailand, was an interesting day.

It started with basically performing a tourist no-no. We let a tuktuk show us around town. You probably shouldn’t ever do that… you get talked into going a wide array of places. A couple of gem stores, a couple of tourism offices, a couple of clothing shops, and random designer bag stops… haha..

It was a loooooong trip to say the least, but I’m finally settled up in my dope Dream Hotel room. You haven’t until you’ve been on an airplane for a combined 19 hours next to an incessantly crying baby and a really big sleeping dude.

DJ SG is rockin St. Patrick’s Day… still debating on not wearing green in solidarity for the Lakers though.

Last Friday at Moondoggies was straight bananas. Figuratively. I mean, you would never really see straight bananas, would you? They’re typically crescent shape. I would love to eat a straight banana. Wait… that didn’t sound right. But I digress.

RichNCreamy and his partner in crime Eyemusing swung by my Friday spot last week and said hello… here are the results.

And yes, someone did request the “Cupid Shuffle” and someone else requested “Circus.” I’m so money and I know it sometimes.

Typical Friday night:

Drunken half-conscious girl: “Can I request a song?”
DJ SG: “Sure, you can *request* a song.” Translation – sure, you can ask for me to play a song, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to play it.
Girl: “Can you play Britney Spears?”
DJ SG: “Um, sure I’ll get to it.”
Girl: “I wanna hear it next!”
DJ SG: “I’ll see what I can do.”
Girl: “C’mooooooooooooonnnn.. everyone will get craaaaaaaa-shhhhezsssyyeeeee”
DJ SG: “Which song?”
Girl: “Ahh sayed BRRRRRIIIIIITTTTNNNEEEEEEEYYYY” as she seemingly gets more drunk.
DJ SG: “Which Britney song?”
Girl: “CIRRRRRRRCCCUUUUSSSS!!!” and then she falls backward as the alcohol takes it’s toll.

More times than not I feel rather obligated to play these songs, because I ultimately like making the ladies feel good (wink!), but there are some songs out there that get an INCREDIBLE amount of requests that completely suck. I’m talking about absolute club killers.

These songs get mad requests at my Friday spot.. and they always stop the dancefloor to a standstill with half the people scratching their heads and the other half standing around as if it weren’t playing.

The latest gig added to my “world tour” of 2009 is the Dream Hotel.

It’s a hotel and resort that has sweet guest rooms, awesome restaurants and, more importantly, a bar/nightclub I’ll be rockin’ it at.

The date is set for January 10, 2009.

Time for me to start looking into getting a digital camera to document my adventures.
